The Geosynthetics and Industrial Fabrics Division (GIF) is an autonomous division within Layfield specializing in the manufacture, fabrication, and installation of flexible plastic sheeting and fabric products. The main thrust of the division is Geosynthetics Products - polymeric (plastic) products that are used in the earth.

The Geosynthetics and Industrial Fabrics Division has one manufacturing and one fabrication facility. Our manufacturing facility is in Vancouver, BC, and our fabrication facility is in Edmonton, AB. Sales offices are located to best suit the needs of our customers; in Canada at Edmonton, AB, Calgary, AB, Vancouver, BC, and Toronto, ON; and in the USA at Renton, WA, and Los Angeles, CA.

The Industrial Fabrics part of this division utilizes the Geotechnical fabrication facilities to manufacture stock and custom tarpaulins and enclosure products. In the Industrial Fabrics area we produce tarpaulins, enclosures, insulated blankets, greens covers, pile covers, curtains, bags, and fabric building skins. We also have available shade cloth, high temperature resistant fabrics, and many other fabrics and materials for industrial applications.
